What If Our Overconsumption Was on Display?
I recently watched a video on social media with that exact tagline.
It showcased person after person going through their daily lives, dressed in a variety of different items. For instance, a woman steps into an elevator with 20 handbags trailing behind her. In another scene, there's a man with a stack of hats atop his head, and another shows a woman wearing 8 coats.
So what does this mean for interior design?
April Showers Bring May Flowers
Rain, rain, go away, and seriously, don’t be a stage-five clinger…
April has decided to throw Pittsburgh a wet and wild party, setting rainfall records and turning downtown into an impromptu water park, minus the fun slides and overpriced snacks. As per the whimsical weather menu of NW PA Spring, we've been treated to a delightful mix of sunshine, snow, hail, and rain—all in the span of 24 hours. It's like Mother Nature can't decide on her outfit and is trying on everything in her closet.
Lately, I've spotted green buds braving the outdoors, eager to show off at the first whisper of warm days. Only small problem is they’re all concussed after yesterday’s hail storm.
Designer vs. Decorator
What’s the difference and does it truly matter?
The terms "interior designer" and "interior decorator" are often used interchangeably, but they refer to two distinct professions with different qualifications, duties, and scopes of work.

On Wednesdays, We Wear Pink
Isaac Newton, deep in thought about gravity and the color spectrum, totally overlooked the cardinal rule: On Wednesdays, we wear pink.
It seems the memo from Regina George got lost in his pile of physics papers.
Lavender Haze
This popular color has hit the spring fashion trends for the past few years.
Caught in a lavender haze, are we? We can all thank Taylor Swift for her lyrical genius. Now, every time I see lavender, I half expect the Grammy-winning soundtrack to start playing.
As we reach the end of our ROYGBIV journey…
I just wanna stay in that lavender haze.
Indigo. Indigoing. Indigone.
This intriguing color sparked curiosity when Isaac Newton introduced it as one of the seven colors in his spectrum, ROYGBIV, aiming to align with the mystical number seven.

When Life Gives You Lemons
Attempting to put a positive spin on a gloomy situation, folks often say, "When life gives you lemons…"
Yet, if I were a lemon, I'd be a bit sour, knowing I'm always the go-to fruit for life's less-than-zesty moments!
Yellow is color #3 on our ROYGBIV journey of hues, and perhaps the happiest of them all!
Orange You Glad?
Trying to add some zest to your space? Feeling like you need a boost of Vitamin C this winter?

Living Colorfully in 2024
To live colorfully.
What in the world does that even mean?
It means that our lives are saturated with color, from the clothes we wear to the spaces we live in. Understanding how we can leverage color begins with exploring its origin.
