The Heart Behind MAISON DE MOLLY

Hi! I’m Molly.

I’m an experienced interior designer based in Pittsburgh, PA. Interior design is more than a profession to me; it's a heartfelt passion that has transformed into my own business venture.

I’ve always believed that good design should be accessible to everyone. Raised in a home where creativity was a cornerstone, my journey in design was influenced early on by my father, a contractor-turned-engineer, and my mother, an accomplished artist and interior decorator. My mom always let me select paint colors and forge my own way. And when I was five, my dad built me a victorian playhouse in our backyard. I vividly recall the excitement of choosing the paint colors for it, a decision I confidently made in just three minutes!

My passion for design and architecture continued to grow. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture from Chatham University, and I now have over six years of experience in high-end residential design.

I believe that the spaces around us shape our health, happiness, and overall well-being. It's essential to cultivate environments that are not only safe and comfortable but also thoughtfully designed with intention. Our homes are our sanctuaries, the places where we find solace and comfort. Being invited into your home, a space so intimate and personal, is a privilege I will always respect.

Good design should be accessible to everyone. My passion is not just to create beautiful spaces, but to inspire, educate, and encourage those who are interested in curating their own stylized home. I approach each opportunity to transform a house into a home by reflecting the uniqueness and spirit of those who welcomed me in the front door.
